And if you’re looking, too, for a rewarding volunteer opportunity that allows you to serve your neighbor, make new friends, and be a blessing to St. Leo, there are 2 important pieces of the Food Pantry puzzle needed to really make it rock!

First, a Coordinator for Fridays, noon-4/4:30, to act as point person for other volunteers.

Second, an Assistant Administrator for about 9-12 hours a week, to tend to ordering, organizing the inventory, and conveying to coordinators/volunteers what’s up. If you feel called to either of these volunteer settings, or to participate in any of our other volunteer situations, please reach out to us and call at 513-921-1044!

Pantry Volunteers Needed!

Are you looking for something worthy to do? Are you and a friend looking for something to do together? On-Call drivers are needed to pick up food items and meats. This volunteer opportunity requires driving to 2 locations in the Rookwood area, lifting and stacking supplies in the cargo van, transporting the items back to the food pantry and then moving them from the van to the shelves. Please call Stephanie at 513-921-1044X20.

Shopping escorts are needed to accompany guests as they “shop” for the items they need.  Escorts are needed for Mondays, Wednesday and/or Fridays from noon to 4:30 pm. Please call Stephanie at 513-921-1044X20.

St. Leo Food Pantry Volunteer Opportunities

Our Pantry is open for guests Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays  from 1:00 - 3:30 pm, so it’s always great to have some extra helpful hands from 12:30-4:00 pm.

Drivers on Tuesdays to share the “load” from 8:00 am—noon, driving and lifting required, even once a month would be helpful.

For students looking for service hours, projects, etc., serving others through our Food Pantry is a perfect opportunity and life-changing experience!

Prayer for St. Leo Food Pantry Volunteers

Lord Jesus, who multiplied the loaves and fishes and called us to feed the hungry, be with us today as we serve those you send to us. Open our hearts to see the gift of you in each person who comes to the pantry. Open our ears to hear their joys and struggles. Open our mouths to speak words of caring and respect. Give strength to our arms when we are tired, patience to our spirits when lines are long and things are confusing, and joy in our hearts for the privilege of serving you. Today and every day may we glorify you with our lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
