Guatemalan Immigrant Ministry

St. Leo's offers pastoral care and a spiritual home for Guatemalan immigrants, offering catechesis,
sacramental preparation, and prayer and music groups.

St. Leo’s collaborates with TriHealth, Catholic Charities, Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati and
the College of Mt. St. Joseph to offer a variety of programs to enhance the strengths of their own culture
and to provide education and support in their process of adjusting to life in the United States.

St. Leo's offers English as a Second Language Classes every Monday evening at 7:00 pm, at St. Leo Church.
Anyone needing assistance with English as a Second Language is welcome.  Volunteer teachers and aides
to help students practice are much needed and most welcome.

1:00 - 9:30 pm

Mass at 6:00 pm

The Celebration begins at 1:00 pm featuring Music, Munchies, Merriment, and Much More including 6:00 pm Mass, ending at 9:30 pm!

Music Groups from St. Leo and other partnering parish musicians will provide music.

A variety of Guatemalan, Mexican and Salvadorian cuisines will be featured. Be daring and try the Fruta with the special seasoning! It’s delicious and refreshing.

Our festival isn’t about making money for the parish. It is mainly about bringing our faith and a spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving to God into our parking lot and then onto the streets and neighborhood. It is about inviting others to come and give thanks with us as we share our cultures with them.
