The Beauty of God's Garden

Everyone is Welcome at St. Leo the Great!

To longtime parishioners, residents of North Fairmount and those within our parish boundaries and you who have been faithful to the parish and to our neighborhoods throughout the years – Welcome!

To our growing number of parishioners, who live officially outside of our parish boundaries and to those who live within our boundaries who haven’t been parishioners as quite as long as some of the others – Welcome!

To our partner parishioners, all of our volunteers, friends and family of St. Leo the Great – Welcome!

To the many people who pass through our parking lot daily, or who line up for service from our food pantry, who knock on our door for assistance, or who have immigrated here from other countries and find their rest among us – Welcome!

To the many other churches, pastors and ministers in our area – Welcome!

To our pastors, deacons, workers and pastoral staff, past and present, and to former parishioners and alumni – Welcome!

Welcome to everyone and everyone is welcome at St. Leo and especially to the Church that God is continuing to build.

As you visit our website, you will learn about the different opportunities for worship we offer, the many programs available for people to grow in the Catholic Christian spirit, and the various ministries that we offer to serve our community.  Great things are happening!  Each of us is on a spiritual journey, and we are here to assist you on that journey.

We invite you to come and visit us, worship with us, and to join us as we respond to Jesus' invitation to "inherit the kingdom" by helping us serve His brothers and sisters.

We rely on you without taking you away from your own parish and our hope is that we give to you additional experiences to live the gospel in accord with your own parish mission statement but in ways different from what your parish may be able to offer you.

Kind Words from a Parishioner:  “A nephew and his wife came to visit Cincinnati from Iowa.  They joined me for 10:30 am Sunday mass. As we were leaving mass, Anna stated, “Now that was a mass!  I felt a presence there, what a wonderful feeling.  I’ll be back.”

We invite you to feel the presence!

St. Leo’s offers the opportunity
to be a part of a true,
international community of believers.

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels of heaven, he will sit upon his royal throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him.  Then he will separate them into two groups, as a shepherd  separates sheep from goats.  The sheep he will place on this right hand, the goats on his left.

The King will say to those on his right:  Come, You have my Father's blessing!

Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world, for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was ill and you comforted me, I was in prison and you came to visit.

Then the just will ask him:  Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or see you thirsty and give you drink?   When did we welcome you away from home or clothe you in your nakedness?  When did we visit you when you were ill or in prison?

The King will answer them; I assure you, as often as you did it for one of my least brothers, you did it for me."

Matthew 25: 31-40

We invite you to join us as we respond to Jesus' invitation to
"inherit the kingdom"

by helping us serve His brothers and sisters.
