Peace Bags

Peace Bags are hand crocheted with strips of recycled plastic bags.  They come in many colors, shapes and sizes.  If you would like to recycle your plastic shopping bags, just drop them off at the St. Leo Church Office.

Peace Bags are available at a wide range of recommended donations at St. Leo Church, 2573 St. Leo Place, 45225.

Your donation provides the crafter the self-esteem that comes with your appreciation of her hard work, and a supplemental income to help support her family.

Murakoze!  Thank You!

Handcrafted "Peace Bags" Available

St. Leo's proudly collaborates with the TriHealth Parish Nurse Program and Visionaries & Voices to enhance and celebrate the creative spirit of our Burundi ladies.

Our "Women of Peace" hand craft and offer for your donation, beautiful, unique, colorful bags of all shapes and sizes, from coin purses and handbags, to shopping and swim bags.

St. Leo's collects the recycled plastic bags from newspaper, grocery, retail stores, drycleaners, etc. that are used to crochet the bags.

You are invited to stop by and drop off your recycled plastic bags for the ladies  to use. While you're here, you can check out their finished products. Your donation(s) not only provide supplemental income for the individual artists who create each bag, but also make great gifts for a special occasions.

St. Leo's also assists by identifying donation opportunties where the ladies can offer their bags to earn a supplemental income.  We are looking for parish sponsored boutiques, festivals, and/or gatherings where a booth could be arranged for them.

"Women of Peace"

Visionaries & Voices' role in the partnership is to provide opportunities for expression, education and inclusion to the women of the group through the medium of art.  Visionaries & Voices artists and staff work together to design and facilitate art making workshops with the women of the group.
