Doing Great Things!

Whether St. Leo’s was the focus of a doctoral dissertation as it was with Jon Trauth, an internship site like Anna Combs and Gabrielle Bolin, a place where you received weekly tutoring, like our eight high school graduates, or just your family parish home, St. Leo’s has made an impact on the lives of all our graduates.

And so we congratulate:

· Dr. Jon Trauth who received his doctorate in counseling from the University of Cincinnati. His work on horticultural therapy with the Burundian refugees led to his dissertation evaluating St. Leo’s refugee ministry.

· Anna Combs, former intern, graduated from the University of Dayton and will be teaching middle Language Arts at Catalyst Maria, am inner city charter school on the south side of Chicago. Anna says St. Leo's was her first experience of being submerged in another culture and she says that gave her a wonderful gift of a desire to learn and connect with those of other backgrounds.

· Gabrielle Bolin, former religious studies intern, graduated from Mount St. Joseph University with a combined major of religious studies and English with a concentration in drama. She hopes to use this background in ministry at a church or school. She is grateful to St. Leo’s for an opportunity to put her learning into ministry, as well as for the love she experienced here.

· Michael Rieger, son of Paul and Therese, graduated from the University of Michigan. He received a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Creative Writing. He's currently looking for a job with the government, but is planning to go to Law School.
